FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to metalworking with pressure and welding, and may be used in the manufacture of heat exchanger assemblies, in particular lens compensators for temperature elongations. Sheet ring blanks of the half-lenses of the compensator are made and flange them to obtain half-lenses. Heat treatment of half-lenses, their calibration and subsequent welding with an annular seam along the outer diameter are carried out to obtain a lens compensator. The flanging of the ring blanks of the half-lenses is carried out with the formation of the inner and outer edges in two transitions by running-in on the profiling mandrel. In this case, a force is applied to the workpiece in the radial direction by means of a deforming roller with a concave working surface.
EFFECT: compensators with high uniformity of wall thickness are obtained, metal consumption and labor intensity of tooling manufacturing are reduced in conditions of individual and small-scale production, the possibility of unification of the tool used for various sizes of compensators is created.
