FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: surgical intervention is performed under the control of intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT), and in the presence of a spontaneous hole in the posterior lens capsule, the anterior hyaloid membrane is differentiated within the hole using intraoperative OCT. The interface of the anterior hyaloid membrane is assessed, and the deposits are cleaned off, if any. The cleaned inclusions are aspirated, the anterior hyaloid membrane is kept intact.
EFFECT: method ensures restoration of transparency of optical media, preserves the anterior hyaloid membrane, eliminates the risk of postoperative complications, allows achieving high functional results in the absence of gross pathology of the posterior segment of the eye.
