SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to ophthalmology and can be used to estimate the State of a vitreous body and retina. As per one version, prior to scanning the patient is placed so that its face is directed downwards in parallel to the floor. Doctor, conducting B-scanning of the eyeball is located at the right side from patient, holding the sensor by left hand during studying the right eye, and by left hand while studying the left eye. According to the second version eyeball is studied through ultrasound B-scan when patient lies on the back. Then, similar scanning in a position facing downwards in parallel to the floor is performed when doctor, conducting B-scanning of the eyeball is located on the right side from patient, holding the sensor by left hand while studying the right eye and by right hand while studying the left eye. Obtained results of scanning under two patient positions (face up and face down in parallel to the floor) are compared to define the difference in positions of vitreous body relative to the retina and retinal position relative to other eye shells.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of ultrasonic examination of eyeball caused by carrying out analysis in position when patient is faced down due to displacement of vitreous body to anterior part of eyeball that enables assessing its mobility and length of fixation to the retina.
