SUBSTANCE: panel contains the top and bottom sides, as well as at least four panel edges that are located opposite each other in pairs, with mating retaining profiles which are provided in pairs on the edges of the panel and which coincide with each other so that panels of the same type can be attached to each other. At least one of the pairs of retaining profiles is provided with hook-shaped profiles, namely on the edge of the panel with the receiving hook and on the opposite edge of the panel with the fixing hook. The panels usually have decorative surfaces.

EFFECT: production of floor coverings, in particular floating floors.
