FIELD: titanium production.

SUBSTANCE: methods for purifying sulfuric acid process water from a titanium production acid accumulator from iron (III) and titanium (IV) using a macroporous polystyrene Puromet MTS9560 cationite crosslinked with divinylbenzene with a phosphonic acid functional group is used. The method includes passing the solution through a layer of cation exchanger in hydrogen form with the transfer of metals to the cation exchanger phase and treatment with sulfuric acid. As a cation exchanger, a macroporous polystyrene Puromet MTS9560 cationite crosslinked with divinylbenzene with a phosphonic acid functional group is used. Cleaning is carried out at a temperature of 12-44°C, the contact time of the solution with the cation exchanger is 30-180 minutes at a feed rate of 0.4-6 ml/min into the reaction cell. The liquid phase of the purified sulfuric acid solution and the solid phase of titanium (IV) and iron (III) are obtained. The solid phase is directed to the desorption of the cation exchanger with a solution of sulfuric acid with a concentration of 0.5-2 n, to obtain a solid phase of a purified cation exchanger and a sulfuric acid solution containing iron (III) and titanium (IV), which is directed to obtain individual metals.

EFFECT: improvement of cleaning of sulfuric acid solutions from iron and titanium.
