FIELD: electrical engineering and power.

SUBSTANCE: simulating damage in cable lines. Installation for simulation of damages in cable lines consists of control element (2) made of a circuit breaker of network element (3) and mode selection element (4) connected in series, and power circuit (6). The control element is equipped with an indication panel, and power circuit (6) includes a parallel-connected insulation test circuit (7), burning circuit (8) and acoustic search circuit (9), the outputs of which are connected to indication panel (5) of control element (2). The circuit breaker of network element (2) is connected to an adjustable laboratory autotransformer (10), which is connected through a step-up transformer (4) to power circuit (6).

EFFECT: increase in the functionality of the device.
