FIELD: information protection.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of magnetic verification of valuable documents. A valuable document contains a protective element with several magnetic sections. After magnetization of all magnetic sections in the first direction, the second magnetization is performed, in which only low-coercive magnetic material is re-magnetized, and high-coercive magnetic material saves orientation of its magnetization in the first direction. Magnetic signals from the protective element are registered with an inductive magnetic detector. Two strongest local minimums or two strongest local maximums are found for analysis of magnetic signals from measuring tracks in the magnetic signal registered with the corresponding measuring track in a time function. A minimum comparison indicator or a maximum comparison indicator are determined for the corresponding measuring track by comparison of amplitudes of the corresponding magnetic signal in the specified minimums or maximums. A magnetic code of the protective element is checked by means of minimum comparison indicators or maximum comparison indicators of measuring tracks.
