FIELD: magnetic equipment detecting and reading magnetic marks. SUBSTANCE: detector has magnet or set of magnets so positioned that it limits spatial area through which or along which magnetic mark passes while employed. Position of above-mentioned magnet or set of magnets and radiation pattern of resulting magnetic field are such that cause change of magnetization polarity of specified magnetic mark in process of its passing along or through above-mentioned spatial area. Receiving coil or coils are employed to detect radiation of magnetic dipole emitted by magnetic mark while passing lengthwise and sideways to above- mentioned magnetic area. It is preferable that receiving coils ( coil ) come in the form of assembly of printed circuit boards whose current-conducting tracks are mutually connected to form three-dimensional coil having windings in different layers.
