SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture and can be used in the fight against common chickweed. The method includes sowing a protective strip along the perimeter of a winter wheat field, which consists of two parts. The inner part is sown with a mixture of winter triticale with winter vetch, and a triticale variety with greater leaf pubescence and a weak wax coating is selected, and the outer part is sown with wintering oats as a bait sowing. At the same time, the width of each part corresponds to 7-8 passes of a grain seeder, and triticale and vetch are taken in half doses from the generally accepted seeding rate.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in efficiency with a high degree of pest infestation of crops.
