SUBSTANCE: lighting control device for a compartment-type passenger car comprises a variable lighting system, a microcontroller and a photosensitive sensor located in a separate room of the car, which determines the lighting parameters of the room and transmits to the central controller. The microcontroller of the device is connected by means of a digital communication switch to a common car Ethernet network, which includes a central controller. The central controller transmits to the microcontroller of the device a data packet with the preferred lighting parameters in the room in real time based on the brightness of the light outside the car, its location and the route direction. The microcontroller of the device recognizes the data packet received from the central controller, unpacks the information intended for it, and controls the variable lighting system based on the information received.
