FIELD: monitoring controlling equipment of a railway car.

SUBSTANCE: device for monitoring the state and controlling equipment of a compartment of a railway car. Device for monitoring the state and controlling the equipment of a compartment of a railway car contains a housing in which a microcontroller is installed and an associated display for displaying information about the state of the equipment, combined with a touch screen for entering control commands. The device contains at least two hardware ports for communication with microcontrollers of other devices and/or a central controller to form a network ring and is configured to relay data packets over the network ring by means of a digital communication switch. The microcontroller of the device is configured to recognize data packets received from the central controller and then unpack the packet of information intended for it.

EFFECT: expansion of functionality of controls of the compartment equipment of a passenger car by enabling information support functions, managing compartment equipment while maintaining the possibility of individual user configuration of equipment parameters, as well as monitoring the current state of the equipment.
