SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to high-speed highway lighting system versions. System comprises at least one illumination device and at least one controller configured to receive vehicle data indicative of vehicle traffic from vehicle via communication between vehicles. Controller is configured to control illumination status based on traffic of vehicles, wherein illumination state is changed when vehicle data indicate traffic of vehicles falling outside the range of traffic.

EFFECT: longer service life of lighting systems, reduced costs associated with maintenance requirements and energy needs.
