FIELD: ecology; environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: detoxification of soils contaminated during the operation of rocketry in places where the separating stages of launch vehicles fall, as well as soils of industrial sites of enterprises producing or using 1,1-dimethylhydrazine in the production process. The method for the destruction of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine in soils includes the treatment of soils with supercritical water for 20-120 minutes at a temperature of 450-600°C and pressure 40-55 MPa. The treatment is carried out in the presence of 1% (by weight) of propanol-2, copper sulphate at a copper content of 1 mg/l and sodium hydroxide at an active substance content of 1 g/l.
EFFECT: significant improvement of the environmental situation due to the complete elimination of the original rocket fuel, as well as reducing both the range of transformation products formed and their concentrations.
