FIELD: accelerator technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to accelerator technology and can be used to create compact pulsed sharp-focus tubes of the megavolt range, intended for X-ray shadowgraph method of rapidly developing processes. Tube is made collapsible, wherein the metal case comprises a shell with two flanges at the ends and at least one branch pipe for vacuum pumping, the vacuum outlet window is equipped with a flange connected to the counter flange of the casing, an insulating assembly is attached to the other flange of the casing, the said assembly includes a ceramic outer insulator that has flange with a protective screen attached to the larger base. The adapter is made with a threaded shank located inside the insulator, a metal rod is fixed on the shank, at the opposite end of the metal rod a removable anode screen with a needle anode is fixed. The cathode consists of two semi-bushings with cylindrical outer and conical inner surfaces, on the inner surface there are emitting elements made of foil and fixed by spot welding.

EFFECT: expansion of operational capabilities by increasing the resource and reliability of the tube operation, increasing the operating temperature range, increasing the degree of vacuum in the tube, as well as increasing the manufacturability and ease of maintenance.
