SUBSTANCE: technology for loading and unloading operations in railway transport; extraction of cargo from railway tank cars and tank containers. In accordance with the method of extracting and collecting the remains of previously transported cargo from railway tanks and tank containers, initially a device is installed at the unloading site near the railway tracks to extract and collect the remains of previously transported cargo from railway tanks and tank containers. The device is connected to an industrial electrical network and grounding. Two tank cars or tank containers standing one behind the other are connected to the input of the device for extracting and collecting the remains of the previously transported cargo from rail tanks and tank containers, and pumping equipment is connected to its output. The grounding contact of the pumping equipment is connected to the grounding circuit of the device for extracting and collecting the remains of previously transported cargo from railroad tanks and tank containers, and pumping out the remains of the cargo from the tank cars and tank containers.
EFFECT: invention reduces labour intensity when draining cargo residues from railway tanks and tank containers and provides heating of the cargo being drained.
