FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the power engineering; it can be used in household solid fuel heating devices. A method for burning solid fuel in a household solid fuel heating device, using a grate, includes loading solid fuel to the specified volume of the household solid fuel heating device, which is adapted for full burning of solid fuel, supplying air through upper main holes of the grate to solid fuel, full burning of solid fuel in the specified volume of the household solid fuel heating device, removing ash through loading doors, removing flue gases from the specified volume of the household solid fuel heating device through a chimney hole. Air required for full burning of solid fuel is additionally supplied to the surface of solid fuel through at least one channel of the grate and through at least one side additional hole of the grate, when burning solid fuel. At the same time, upper burning of solid fuel and/or pyrolysis gas combustion are provided in the specified volume of the household solid fuel heating device. Ratios of volumes of air, which is supplied through upper main holes of the grate and through at least one side additional hole of the grate per time unit to the specified volume of the household solid fuel heating device, are regulated at the specified volume of the household solid fuel heating device.

EFFECT: invention allows for increasing a temperature in the specified volume of a household solid fuel heating device and providing full burning of solid fuel.
