SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in condensing gas boilers adapted for heating water. The invention consists in a method for operating a condensing gas boiler, which includes supplying water to a condensing heat exchange device and to the main heat exchange device, ensuring the movement of gaseous combustion products of combustible gas from bottom to top in the main heat exchange device and from top to bottom in the condensing heat exchange device. Water heating in the main heat exchange device is carried out by the thermal energy of the gaseous products of combustion of the combustible gas, and in the condensing heat exchange device - by the thermal energy of the gaseous products of combustion of the combustible gas and the thermal energy that is released during the condensation of water vapor. Combustion of the combustible gas is carried out under the bell-shaped part of the condensing gas boiler, above the lower edge of the bell-shaped part, and the air necessary for combustion of combustible gas is supplied through at least two air holes, which are located in the bell-shaped part at different distances from the lower edge of the bell-shaped part, at the same time, natural movement of gaseous products of combustion is ensured from bottom to top in the main heat exchange device and from top to bottom in the condensing heat exchange device through the heat exchange parts of the condensing heat exchange device by setting the height of the column of gaseous combustion products of the combustible gas and the average temperature in the column of gaseous combustion products.
