FIELD: military training; mortar units.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of training military personnel of the ground forces, namely to methods for preparing crews of mortar units. The method consists in the fact that during its implementation, a training tool is used, including an automated workplace of the instructor, using which the instructor issues tasks to the student, and an automated workplace of the student, through which the student performs the tasks. After that, the results are transferred to the control unit of the automated workplace of the instructor, after which the errors are analyzed and, if any, the tasks are re-executed. According to the first version of the method, the student works out the skills of a mortar operation using a virtual reality helmet. According to the second version of the method, the student uses a virtual reality helmet and a mortar integrated into virtual reality with the help of sensors. According to the third variant of the method, the student works out the skills of operating a mortar, sequentially using technologies of virtual and augmented reality.
EFFECT: development of mortar operation skills using modern technologies.
