FIELD: construction and installation.
SUBSTANCE: non-destructive testing of the characteristics of products and materials. Invention can be used to measure internal stresses and the degree of tightening of bolted or stud joints in the construction and installation of critical facilities in various industries. When implementing the claimed method for controlling the tightening force of a bolt or stud, one or two spaced cameras are attached to the shaft of the bolt or stud, or to the exhaust device with automatic focusing on a part of the area subjected to tension, and the tightening force during the drawing process is calculated based on the relative elongation of the bolt or stud, measured by image processing of the free and loaded states of the bolt or stud.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of controlling the tightening force of a bolt or stud in the process of their stretching and expanding the range of materials for controlled bolts or studs.
