FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for in-place diagnostics of internal combustion engines. In the proposed invention measurements are performed by resistance strain gauges installed directly on the con-rod and operating at the same conditions, which excludes influence on measurement accuracy of the installation of sensors, loading mode and temperature state; conversion of voltages on con-rod from the gas pressure in the cylinder as a function of crankshaft turn angle is based on known dynamic calculation acting forces in slider-crank mechanism; the effect of temperature is eliminated temperature compensation sensor mounted on unloaded plate from material of the connecting rod in the place of measurement of voltages; ruled out that operating conditions of sensors installed in a prototype on studs attaching cover plates of cylinders, since all rods are located in same conditions; strain gages con operate within the law of Hooke, which eliminates non-linearity of measurements in the whole range of modes of loading.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and accuracy of obtained indication indirectly.
