SUBSTANCE: absorbent article including leak-proof cuffs that rise towards the wearer's skin. Each of the two anti-leak collars (3, 3) includes a sheet (30) forming the anti-leak collar and has a base part (31) and a rising part (32). The rising part (32) is divided into the first part (33) extending from the fold (30F) of the sheet (30) to the side edge (30S) of the sheet (30) extending along the longitudinal direction (X), and the second part (34) extending from the fold (30F) to the base part (31), and includes a part (36) overlapping the sheet, and in which both parts (33, 34) facing each other are connected by the connected part (35). The first part (33) includes a free edge part (330), which is not attached to any other element and is an elongated part of the sheet (30) extending from the connected part (35). The extension length (L1) of the free edge part (330) from the connected part (35) is at least 0.05 of the distance (L2) from the connected part (35) to the base part (31) determined in the second part (34).

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to prevent leakage by means of anti-leak cuffs, and is able to effectively prevent leakage in the lateral direction.
