SUBSTANCE: absorbent article (1) of the present invention includes sheet (32) in the front stretchable portion (WA) and the rear stretchable portion (WB), which faces the assembly and is attached to absorbent assembly (2), and outer sheet (31). Sheet (32) facing the assembly, or outer sheet (31), is a stretchable sheet. Extensively stretching sections (31H) and weakly stretching sections (31L) are arranged alternately in Y direction in stretching sheet. Stretching sheet is provided in front stretching part (WA) or rear stretching part (WB). In zone (23PT) covering absorbing element (23), strongly stretching sections (31H) in stretched sheet are connected to form first connected parts (1JT). In zone (23NT) not overlapping absorbent element (23), weakly stretchable sections (31L) in stretchable sheet are joined to form second connected parts (2JT) and highly stretchable sections (31H) in the stretching sheet are not joined to form second unconnected parts (2NJT).
