FIELD: treatment of process vapours.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a device for treatment of process vapours leaving the vacuum concentration section of an urea production unit. The device contains a vacuum system with a plurality of successive condensation stages connected in series by the corresponding sections of the pipeline and crossed in series by process vapours to be treated, as well as a flushing device connected to the last condensation stage using an additional section of the pipeline and having an inlet connected to the supply pipeline, to which steam condensate is supplied, a condensate outlet connected to a condensate line from which steam condensate used for flushing is collected, and a gas outlet connected to an outlet line from which non-condensable purge gases are collected. Additionally, the device has at least one main inlet of steam condensate for supplying steam condensate to the vacuum system and located relative to the direction of circulation of process vapours in the vacuum system upstream from at least one selected condensation stage or at least one selected condensation stage. The main inlet is configured to determine the main point of entry of the steam condensate into the vacuum system, assumed to be the point where the main or most part is introduced, i.e. more than 50% by weight from the total amount of steam condensate supplied to the vacuum system. A method for treatment of process vapours leaving the vacuum concentration section and a urea production unit are also proposed.
EFFECT: device and method make it possible to treat process vapours leaving the vacuum concentration section of a urea production unit with increased efficiency compared to the background, in particular, allowing to significantly reduce the amount of water required for the vacuum system serving the urea production unit.
