FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: broadband power amplifiers. The broadband power amplifier, made in the form of a push-pull power amplifier on bipolar transistors with a common emitter on transformers with magnetic coupling between the windings, additionally contains in each arm of the push-pull amplifier a limiting diode Dl, a source of constant cutoff voltage Ec and a blocking capacitor Cbl. The limiting diode Dl is connected directly in front of the decoupling capacitor Cd at the input of the transistor-amplifier in such a way that its conductivity is directed towards the source of constant cutoff voltage Ec, which is connected in series with the limiting diode and the negative terminal of which is grounded. In parallel with the source of constant voltage cutoff the blocking capacitor Cbl is included. The capacity of the blocking capacitor of the Ec source is selected from the condition 1/2πfn⋅Cbl<<Rc, where fn is the lower frequency of the operating range, Rc is the internal resistance of the DC cutoff voltage source Ec.
EFFECT: reduction of the level of spurious radiation at the harmonics of the carrier frequency at the output of broadband amplifiers.
