FIELD: communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: adjustable frequency filtering of signals for communication systems. Invention is related in particular to switchable filters based on surface acoustic waves (SAW), with operating frequency in the range of 10-2500 MHz regulated by voltage. The switchable two-band filter contains four parallel acoustic channels formed by two input interdigital converters (IDTs), two microstrip directional couplers (MSDCs), and two output IDTs with the ability to switch each pair of acoustic channels with its independent vanadium dioxide film switch. The width of the vanadium dioxide film is no more than two periods of the input IDT, and the thickness of the vanadium dioxide film is 200 nm.
EFFECT: increase of the difference in attenuation values between the acoustic channels up to 70 dB, lowering of control voltage to 0.1 V and reduction of attenuation due to SAW propagation with increasing frequency.
