FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space technology and can be used in spacecraft as a device for temperature control. Spacecraft thermal control device contains a movable protective screen, longitudinal U-shaped guide rails for the movement of the screen, mounting rods, cylindrical housings, a drive in the form of a wire spiral made of a material with a shape memory effect, idling and working stroke pistons, pressure disks, return springs, and also a mechanism to improve the stability of the drive movement. The mechanism contains a piston and two helical compression and extension springs. In the initial position of the device, the protective screen covers the radiation surface (RS) of the spacecraft. If it is necessary to increase the temperature in the SC thermal control system, the screen is opened and the heat flux is absorbed by the RS.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of SC thermal control is achieved due to the use of a purely mechanical screen drive, which does not require additional power consumption.
