METHOD FOR TREATING SKIN AND SOFT TISSUE WOUNDS USING A WOUND DRESSING BASED ON BACTERIAL CELLULOSE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61L15/28 A61L15/60

Abstract RU 2793743 C1

FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to treat long-term non-healing wounds of the skin and soft tissues. A method for treating skin and soft tissue wounds using a wound dressing based on bacterial cellulose includes biosynthesis using acetic acid bacteria and yeast, sterile transparent elastic plates of bacterial cellulose with a thickness of 2–3 mm and a humidity of 99% are made; then, during dressing for the outflow of exudate, they are pre-perforated in 4–5 different places, forming holes up to 5 mm; on the treated wound of the skin or soft tissues, the resulting wound dressing is laid, the edges of which are fixed to the skin and covered with a dry bandage; after 3–5 days, when the plate dries and changes color to yellow-brown due to the absorption of exudate, it is removed and a new one is applied.

EFFECT: invention provides high efficiency and increased rate of closure of poorly healing wounds due to stimulation of wound regeneration in a closed moist environment, reduction of wound exudation and secondary microbial contamination, reduction of pain syndrome and number of dressings.
