FIELD: production of non-ferrous metals.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the technology of producing crude lead from secondary lead-containing materials, in particular, used batteries. As components of the reducing-flux mixture for processing of secondary lead-containing materials, hard coal and clinker made of dust from electric arc furnaces of ferrous metallurgy after Waelz process are used, and the content of Waelz clinker in the total mass of the mixture is 45-50% by weight.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce lead losses with matte-slag melt and increase the degree of lead extraction into the finished product, as well as achieve an environmental effect due to the involvement of clinker, which is a waste of the Waelz process, into the processing.
