FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves continuously or periodically feeding onto lead bath in reverberating furnace of oxysulfate paste released in the process of separation processing of worked out lead-acid accumulators; charging carbon-bearing reducer with ash content of <1.0% and particle size of <5 mm in an amount of 6-7% by weight of paste from opposite end of furnace onto resultant oxysulfate paste melt, with thickness of oxysulfate paste melt being maintained within the range of 20-50 mm during the entire melting process; sequentially removing slag as it is accumulated by combs through furnace end window. Reduction melting process is carried out at temperature of 950-1,050 C. After conditioning and removal of oxides from lead surface, resultant lead meets brand lead C2 or C3 quality requirements. EFFECT: increased efficiency in direct lead extraction from oxysulfate paste, reduced reprocessing costs by eliminating flux feeding process, and provision for regeneration of worked out accumulator batteries. 1 tbl
