FIELD: cut tobacco filter.

SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to the production of cut tobacco filler containing reconstituted tobacco, and to a smoking product formed from a tobacco rod containing cut tobacco filler according to the present invention. The cut tobacco filler comprising the first tobacco material cut into strips according to the first cutting specification specifying at least the first predetermined cut width and first cut length for the strips corresponding to the final cut width and the final cut length of the cut tobacco filler when used in a tobacco product; moreover, the distribution of cut strips along the cutting length is unimodal; wherein the first cutting length specified by the first cutting specification is at least 15 mm. The smoking product contains a rod of the above cut tobacco filler. The method for manufacturing cut tobacco filler includes providing the first tobacco material, cutting the first tobacco material into strips according to the first cutting specification that sets at least the first given cutting width and the first cutting length for the strips corresponding to the final cutting width and the final cutting length of the cut tobacco filler for its use in a tobacco product. The cut length distribution of the cut strips is unimodal, and the first cut length specified by the first cutting specification is at least 15 mm.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of manufacturing tobacco filling, as well as an increase in the filling capacity of the cut tobacco filler and a decrease in formation of tobacco dust.
