FIELD: heating devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing a consumable for a non-combustion heating device, said consumable comprising rod fragments of an aerosol-forming material, including the steps of cutting a sheet of an aerosol-forming material in the longitudinal direction to obtain a plurality of strips of an aerosol-forming material; collecting the strips together to form a rod of aerosol-forming material in which each of the plurality of strips of aerosol-forming material is substantially untwisted; and cutting the rod of aerosol-forming material into fragments, obtaining fragments of the aerosol-forming material.
EFFECT: said invention is aimed at providing easy introduction of the plate heater into the tobacco rod fragment.
