FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel supply systems of diesel internal combustion engines for military machinery, in particular, to purification apparatus for diesel fuel. Proposed automated fuel purification system for a diesel engine comprises a two-section fine mesh filter with filtering elements made of foamed polyvinylformal; a spool box made to automate the process of removing the mechanical impurities and water filtered from the diesel fuel, provided with a spool used to drive the apparatus for compressing the fouled filtering elements, to switch the channels for supplying non-purified fuel to the filtering sections and remove the purified fuel therefrom, and switch the compressed air supply channels in order to remove the filtered contaminants from the body of the filter. The spool is driven by an electric drive. The automated system is provided with an apparatus for monitoring for and signalling of limit clogging of the filtering elements being reached and an apparatus for the automated removal of filtered contaminants using compressed air. The automated system is provided with an apparatus for controlling the process of automation of purification of diesel fuel and cleaning of the fuel filter from mechanical impurities and water, wherein said apparatus is used to control the spool switching electric drive of the spool box, control the two electropneumatic valves for supplying compressed air to the filtering sections, and switch the lamps for signalling of limit clogging of the filtering elements being reached. An inlet and outlet filter pressure drop sensor for controlling the limit clogging of the filter and an outlet galvanic sensor for monitoring the presence of water in diesel fuel are provided, connected to the control apparatus.
EFFECT: higher quality of purification of diesel fuel, automated process of cleaning the filtering apparatus without disassembly thereof and shutdown of the engine.
