SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for determining wettability and measuring the contact angle, and can be used in the oil, petrochemical and chemical industries. A method for determining the wetting angle of a sessile drop on the surface of a material by measuring the height and volume of a digital drop model obtained on the basis of microtomography, which consists in the fact that the drop is formed on a flat horizontal surface of the material, its microtomography is performed, the 3D digital model is reconstructed, the drop is segmented, the volume Vs and 3D droplet height h are determined; further contact angleθ determined by the formula:  ; if the resulting valueθ > 90° , the true contact angle is obtuse and for its calculation it is necessary from 180° subtract the received value:
