FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for controlling the position of wheelsets of freight cars, as well as to methods for controlling their position. The device contains a V-shaped shock absorber, an actuator and a power mechanism. The shock absorber is made of upper and lower plates with elastic material between them. Holes for conical pins of the power mechanism are made in the upper plate and elastic material. The actuator is located in the spring opening of the bogie side frame. The power mechanism is located inside the side frame above the box opening. The conical pins are attached to the power mechanism with the possibility of their movement. When loading a freight car, the actuator acts on the power mechanism. The power mechanism moves the conical pins all the way into the bottom plate of the shock absorber. The stiffness of the shock absorber increases in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
EFFECT: fitting of a freight car into curved sections of the railway track is improved.
