SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, and in particular to a method for assessing the potential mutagenicity of sulfonylureas and triazolpyrimidines using the Ames test on indicator strains of Salmonella typhimurium. It is also disclosed that this method allows the use of sulfonylurea and triazolpyrimidines in the maximum non-cytotoxic concentration due to the addition of isoleucine to the agar medium at a concentration of 1 to 5 mm.
EFFECT: invention is effective for determining the ability of these compounds to induce reverse gene mutations.
