FIELD: construction and repair of underground gas pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: construction and repair of underground gas pipelines located in a layer of seasonally thawing and freezing soil. To prevent deformation or destruction of gas pipelines in the event of depressurization of mechanical seals and freezing of groundwater entering the annulus of protective cases, the gas pipeline is wrapped with self-adhesive rolled non-crosslinked polyethylene foam with a density of 27 kg/m3 with a layer with thickness that ensures filling of 35-40% of the volume of the annulus.
EFFECT: increase of ease of installation of protective cases and reduction of cost of their manufacture by reducing the required volume of rolled polyethylene foam.
