FIELD: robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control a manipulator operating in the same area with other manipulators and physical objects with which it interacts. The manipulator is equipped with rotary mechanisms and cameras, through which a series of photographic images of the surrounding space is obtained. To control the manipulators, a control unit and a personal computer are used, into which programs are loaded that form commands for controlling the actuators of the manipulators, depending on the result of identifying the obtained photographic images of the surrounding space with determining the distance from the corresponding links of the manipulator to the nearest object.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the safety and the level of fault-free operation of the manipulator in the same area with other manipulators.
