SUBSTANCE: boiler for co-firing pulverized-coal and water-coal fuels comprises a vertical furnace, which is equipped with main burner units located in three tiers and a reducing stage unit located in the fourth tier, each of which consists of four direct-flow burners installed in the corners of the furnace, with rectangular burner channels directed tangentially to an imaginary circle in the center of the furnace section by a horizontal plane. On the fourth tier of the furnace, nozzles for supplying water-coal fuel to the combustion chamber are installed. The water-coal fuel supply nozzles are installed in such a way that the water-coal fuel is supplied in the direction opposite to the direction of pulverized coal swirling from the main burners.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of CWS combustion by ensuring combustion stability in the furnace, low underburning coefficient and controllability of the boiler performance, as well as reducing the content of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases.
