FIELD: design of batteries.

SUBSTANCE: traction battery for unmanned highly automated vehicles consists of a housing inside which series-connected modules are installed, a heating system formed by heating pads located between the modules, and a control system. The modules are arranged in two tiers, and each module contains series-connected lithium-iron-phosphate-based battery cells, electrically isolated from each other. The control system consists of temperature sensors installed on each module, a humidity sensor, voltage meters for each cell in the module, a current sensor for the upper and lower power modules.

EFFECT: increasing the nominal voltage and operating temperature range during the discharge process and improving the safety of servicing the traction battery.
