SUBSTANCE: jet engine with a device for extending the time of operation of the gases emanating from the combustion chamber operates as follows. The gases emanating from the combustion chamber enter a system of eight nozzles arranged according to the principle of a golden spiral, each nozzle consists of two such spirals combined with each other, in such a way that the straightening part of one spiral is connected to the combustion chamber, its twisting part is connected to the twisting part of the second spiral, the straightening part of the second spiral is turned outward, a gas jet exits through it, the cross section of the spiral channels of the nozzles is variable, in the places of straightening of the spirals it is higher than in the places of twisting, four nozzles of this design, or alternatively two, provide the movement of the aircraft in the vertical direction, two nozzles provide horizontal movement, two more nozzles, or alternatively one, - its braking or moving backwards, in the above scheme, the law of gas dynamics, which manifests itself in the Laval nozzle, is fulfilled, according to which, in the tapering part of the nozzle, the exhaust velocity of gases is smaller and subsonic, the pressure is large, and the speed increases and becomes supersonic in the expanding part located behind the nozzle, the pressure drops in the proposed design in comparison to the Laval nozzle, due to the elongated transition process from a part of the system with a high pressure and a lower gas velocity to a lower pressure and a higher speed of their movement, and the time of work of the gases emanating from the combustion chamber increases.
EFFECT: proposed design of the engine makes it more compact.
