FIELD: x-ray technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to cathodes of metal-ceramic x-ray tubes. The X-ray tube cathode consists of a cathode cup with additional windows placed against the emitters and communicating with a circular hollow channel and mounting slots, a focusing electrode, emitters placed in the mounting slots of the cathode cup and fixed on current leads mounted in ceramic bushings placed in seats, made in the cathode cup. The circular hollow channel is located between the outer surface of the cathode cup and the inner surface of the focusing electrode, which communicates with the mounting grooves of the cathode cup and has a getter placed in the channel.

EFFECT: increase of absorption capacity of the getter, increase of retainment time of working vacuum in the X-ray tube and increase of the service life of the X-ray tube.
