FIELD: obtaining high-strength ceramics.

SUBSTANCE: obtaining high-strength ceramics based on zirconium dioxide-aluminium oxide-silicon oxide for medical products. Ceramic material was obtained from a mixture, including, in % by weight: tetragonal zirconium dioxide (yttria content 3 mol.%) - 90-97.4, aluminium oxide - 2-9.4, silicon oxide - 0.5-2.0 and the addition of manganese oxide - 0.1-1.0.

EFFECT: resulting material is characterized by a fine-grained structure with a crystal size of 50-100 nm during sintering at a temperature of 1250°C and 50-200 nm during sintering at a temperature of 1300°C and high mechanical characteristics - bending strength from 640 MPa to 790 MPa.
