FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: device for breaking eggs having shells and contents including yolk and white. The device contains means for breaking eggs, each of which is configured to hold, break and open one egg at a time, and a collecting unit for collecting white remaining on the shell and/or devices for breaking eggs after unloading the contents under the action of gravity. The white collecting unit contains at least one collecting element having at least one opening made with the possibility of passing liquid, and at least one closing element adapted to close the openings in the collecting elements. The collecting element and/or the closing element is movable between the first mutual position, in which the closing elements are configured to close the holes, and the second mutual position, in which the holes are open.
EFFECT: reduction of loss of egg content.
