FRACTIONATED ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR USE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61K31/155 A61K31/785 C07C281/16 C08G73/04

Abstract RU 2795891 C2

FIELD: pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides fractionated polymer compositions with antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activity. The invention relates to the following group of inventions: a medicinal product for inhibiting the growth of an agent, a medicinal product of formula I, a method for preparing the medicinal product, variants of a pharmaceutical composition and a method for treating an infection. This medicinal product has the structural formula I, average molecular weight from 780 Da to 5,700 Da and molecular distribution less than 10 kDa; n is 1–3; m is 4–14; z is 1–6. Х is 14 HCl, 24 HCl, 18 HCl, 19 HCl, 28 HCl, 20.8 HCl, 10 H2SO4, 15 CH3COOH, 10 HCl, 43 HCl, 20 HCl. The agent is selected from the group consisting of a bacterial, fungal, viral agent or cancer or leukemia or melanoma cells. The medicinal product of formula I for inhibiting the growth of a bacterial, fungal, viral agent and/or cancer and/or leukemia and/or melanoma cells. This medicinal product is prepared by a process comprising reaction of hexamethylenediamine with a guanidine salt and a compound selected from the group consisting of the following: hydrazine hydrate, semicarbazide, semicarbazide hydrochloride, carbohydrazide, and aminoguanidine hydrochloride at a temperature of 175 to 195°C; and isolation of the polymer fraction by dialysis. A pharmaceutical composition containing an effective amount of this medicinal product is used for an inhibitory effect on bacteria and fungi, including those with multidrug resistance, microbial biofilms and viruses, cancer and leukemia cells and melanoma cells. A pharmaceutical composition containing an effective amount of this medicinal product is used to treat sinusitis and cystitis. A method for treating an infection by inhibiting the growth of an agent, comprising bringing the agent into contact with an effective amount of the medicinal product, the said agent including bacteria, fungi, microbial biofilms, viruses and/or cancer and/or leukemia and/or melanoma cells.

EFFECT: development of a fractionated polymer composition with antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activity which is useful in the treatment of infectious diseases caused by pathogens.
