FIELD: renewable sources of hydropower.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a device for converting wave energy. The device comprises floating platform 1, wave-receiving bucket-shaped shields 4 placed on axes 3, chain 9 connected to gears 8 and an electric generator. Axes 3 are cruciform and mounted on bearings 2 on platform 1. At the vertical ends of the axes 3 there are shields 4 with counterweights 5 located under platform 1. On both sides of platform 1, at the horizontal ends of axes 3, ratchet mechanisms 6 are fixed with forward and reverse rotation, placed inside wheels 8 turning on them, connected on both sides of platform 1 with chain 9 that rotates gear mechanism 10 of the electric generator drive. A flywheel is placed on the drive axis of the electric generator, smoothing out the pulsations of intermittent movement.
EFFECT: increasing power of the device.
