FIELD: hydraulic structures.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic structures and can be used to increase energy production by using tidal energy. Tidal power plant with continuous operation cycle comprises dam forming water reservoir 2 separated from sea area 10, power plant building, at least one reversible turbine 4 with electric generator and working gate 3 arranged in dam, water storage tank 5. Tank 5 is located next to the dam, its wall is made above dam wall 1, and working gate 6 with additional turbine 7 is arranged in it. Above the other wall of tank 5 there is an inclined water passage 8, the other end of which is connected to a convergent slope consisting of wave-receiving shields 9 located in sea area 10. Wave-receiving shields 8 at connection point with inclined water conduit are equipped with rotary hinges 11, changing angle of convergent slope. Working gates 3, 6 are standard.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing efficiency of existing tidal stations by means of continuous power generation during pauses between high and low tides.
