SUBSTANCE: in the session management method, the first control plane network element in the first network is used to decide to manage a session which is intended to provide a connection to the second network for the terminal in the first network, and the first control plane network element is a network element in the first network. The session is controlled by the first control plane network element. If the second quality of service (QoS) parameter of the terminal user plane data which is in the second network is not compatible with the first QoS parameter of the terminal user plane data which is in the first network, a decision is made by the first control plane network element to manage the session based on the second QoS setting.
EFFECT: provision of an improved method of session management and provision of QoS assurance for terminal servicing.
