FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for operating a network entity of a wireless communication network. For this, the method includes the steps of: establishing the first PDU session for a wireless terminal (UE) using the first base station NodeB (MgNB) and the first user plane function object (UPF1); and establishing the second PDU session for the UE using the second base station NodeB (SgNB) and the second user plane function object (UPF2). The first and second PDU sessions are established for the UE using the first and second base stations NodeB in such a way so that the first and second PDU sessions are provided in parallel using Dual Connect (DC) capability to provide redundant data paths for UEs over the wireless network, with the first and second PDU sessions being established with redundancy sequence numbers (RSN) that are provided for the first and second PDU sessions by the backbone network of the wireless network. It is indicated that DC capability should be provided for the first and second PDU sessions.

EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring an increase in the reliability of communication.
