FIELD: refrigeration compressor for refrigeration units.
SUBSTANCE: refrigeration compressor includes an electric motor, at least two cylinder blocks and a mechanical power control unit for activating and deactivating at least one of the cylinder blocks for activating or deactivating the injection of refrigerant into it. The refrigeration compressor is configured to operate in a partial power state in at least two different operating modes, each of which provides for activation or deactivation of cylinder blocks different from other operating modes, in which a frequency converter is connected with the refrigeration compressor for controlling the speed of the electric motor, and an operating state control unit is connected with the refrigeration compressor, which, in accordance with the power request signal applied to it to operate the refrigeration compressor in the partial power state corresponding to this power request signal, drives the refrigeration compressor in an operating mode selected from at least two different operating modes, and controls the rotational speed of the electric motor adapted to the operating mode selected for implementing this partial power state.
EFFECT: refrigeration compressor is configured to operate in a partial power state in at least two different operating modes.
