FIELD: technical physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a method for determining the heat transfer coefficient of a part in contact with the flow of a cooling medium, and can be used in the design, development and optimization of the design of units and elements of aircraft gas turbine engines and other power units. The method for determining the heat transfer coefficient of a part consists in preliminary placement of the part in the channel, successive heating of the outer surface of the part by supplying hot gas into the channel without contact with the flow of the cooling medium, and subsequent contact of the part with the flow of the cooling medium by pumping through the internal channels of the part. At the same time, four characteristic points located in pairs in mutually perpendicular planes are identified on the selected element of the outer surface of the part wall, remote from the central point, and the change of the temperature of the outer surface of the element in them over time is recorded using a scanning thermal imager, and the heat transfer coefficient is identified taking into account the temperature difference between the central and characteristic points of the element of the outer surface of the wall according to a certain formula.
EFFECT: implementation of the method’s purpose, that is, creating a method for determining the heat transfer coefficient of a part in contact with the flow of a cooling medium, which provides an increase in reliability of tests by determining the heat transfer coefficients from the cooling medium to the inner surface of the part and from the external environment to the outer surface of the part, taking into account the uneven distribution of heat transfer intensity in different directions at any point of temperature fields recorded by a thermal imager on the outer surface of the part.
